Webby Awards

Slaw-ers, In case you were not aware, our friends at Jurist are neck and neck in voting with Court TV for a 2006 Webby Award in the Law category. (Let’s push to get Slaw nominated next year). If you wish to vote you can either visit Jurist and click on the Webby banner near the top of the page or go directly to the Webby Awards.

To lend a little partisanship, Jurist is the only law school/law-student powered entry in this particular horserace.

Just doing my part for Web-democracy… which is supposed to be a good thing… right? And No, just because I’m in Nova Scotia does not mean that I have rum to exchange for votes.

  1. Well the Philadelphia based one seems alive and very much kicking but I don’t seem to see a lot about Jurist Canada. Or am I missing something?

  2. Simon, I posted about Jurist Canada a while back http://www.slaw.ca/2006/01/18/jurist-canada-zombie/

It was then so far out of date as to be worse than useless.

  3. Doesn’t the webby awards have a pretty big entrance fee?

  4. Steven – it’s $245 see ttp://www.webbyawards.com/webbys/eligibility.php#fees

  5. The Jurist in question is the conventional Jurist. I believe that more development on Jurist Canada is in the works.
