Steve, just wanted you to know I found your post very interesting and hope to explore those options I haven't looked at already. I think LinkedIn was the only one I hadn't heard about already. This is a very nice summary.

Glad you liked ClaimID - I find it's easy and simply to use; and from an earlier comment/post, I gather ClaimID will keep their service easy to use and update, which is the point. I also use LinkedIN and found that I received no spam as a result of using this service, although I received a few requests from people I did not know to join their network: you can gently decline such requests or accept; you're not forced into accepting them.
