“I have a dream”

As Simon Chester reminded us, today is Martin Luther King Jr. day in the U.S. It occurred to me that as the March on Washington and King’s famous “I have a dream” speech took place in 1963, many — hell, most — Slaw readers are too young to have seen and heard these events at the time. I’ve found a site that has a movie of these events that you might like to see. I was young then and living in the States; these were portentous times for that country, and the events made a very great impression on me; I still find the sights and sounds of the March and the speech moving indeed.
