Back to my old sawhorse. I am delighted that we have three Canadian legal publishers using RSS feeds for new book titles. I've now broadened my call to legal publishers to include the rest of the world!

In my latest The Tao of Law Librarianship column on LLRX.com, I talk about how using RSS feeds for new book titles is making my job more efficient, and I call for more publishers to take this on.

In a very informal survey of major legal publisher websites from around the world using Legal Publishers List on the American Association of Law Libraries website, it looks like Canadian legal publishers are leaders in this area. I look forward to seeing our other Canadian publishers take the plunge soon! C'mon in, the water is warm.

It may be an old sawhorse, Connie, but it's still a good one. Changing the subject, though, a wee sawfoal of mine is that your columns are not consistently included in the llrx feed. Any idea why that is?

  2. I'm not reading the feed itself (for once!) so I don't know. I know that the editor, Sabrina Pacifici, doesn't have everything completely posted yet to the website, so that might explain it in this case. It's not even up on the front page of LLRX yet. I'll have a look when I have time. Mostly all the work is done by Sabrina in her spare time, so it may not have the consistency of a commercially produced publication feed. I'll have a look to see.

    Cheers,
    Connie
