In the same tradition of Dennis Kennedy’s Blawggies [1], Steve Matthews has just announced his 2007 CLawBies – Canadian Law Blog Awards [2].
Big winners this year are Rob Hyndman [3] who won the Non-Legal Audience Award and tied for the Best Canadian Law Blog (or Blogger) Award and to Slaw [4] for the Best Legal Technology Blog and runner-up for the Best Canadian Law Blog (or Blogger) Award.
Full disclosure: Steve Matthews [5]is a co-contributor and friend here on Slaw [4], and he also awarded me runner up for Law Librarian Blog Award, which deservedly went to both Michel-Adrien Sheppard’s Library Boy [6] and the BC Courthouse Library Society What’s New Blog [7].
The real news, however, is that the CLawBies [8] now have their own website, and Steve has announced plans to make them full-scale awards with nominations and voting next year. Kudos, Steve! And that gives me a whole year to pull up my socks and really earn that award. ;-)
