♬ What kind of blog am I…? ♬
Thanks to librarians Judith A. Siess and Karen Sawatzky, I learned about Typealizer, an online service that offers to type your blog along Myers-Briggs (i.e. Jungian) lines. Unsurprisingly, Slaw comes out as a “Duty Fulfiller,” or an ISTJ (inroverted sensing thinking judging) type.
The responsible and hardworking type. They are especially attuned to the details of life and are careful about getting the facts right. Conservative by nature they are often reluctant to take any risks whatsoever.
The Duty Fulfillers are happy to be let alone and to be able to work int heir own pace. They know what they have to do and how to do it.
But if you’d like to learn more about our corporate identity, there’s a fuller description of an ISTJ on an unrelated site all of which sounds pretty much like someone who works in the law. (If you’d like to test yourself, the site gives you 60 questions to answer and produces a personality type.)
But wait, there’s more… Judith also passed along two further tests of a blog’s nature. Genderanalyzer purports to tell you if a website has been written by a man or a woman. It turns out that Slaw is a man — the result says “57%” though it’s unclear what that might mean; perhaps 57% likely by a man — but according to Generanalyzer “it’s quite gender neutral,” which is something to be proud of, I think.
But the real kicker comes at the end — as it should. The Blog Readability Test, which purports to say what level of education is required to read a blog, announces that Slaw’s reading level is “genius.”
So… fairly androgynous duty-fulfilling genius… Does that sound like the kind of person you’d like to:
- work next to
- have as a neighbour somewhere down the block
- live with
