Thanks to my partner David Stratas [1] for a tip-off concerning major changes to the SCC website announced today.
They include:
factums posted online
webcasts of oral argument [2], together with an archive of argument
a new policy on hyperlinking
This is a major step forward in public access to information concerning cases before the top court.
The first factum involved Michel Strecko v. Her Majesty the Queen [4], but the factums aren’t available.
Would it be churlish to ask for transcripts of oral argument for those of us without the time or patience to sit through a minute by minute argument when all I want is a single question and response (which I can skim through in a text)
