The decision, just in within the past hour:

The admission of a foreign national to this country is a privilege determined by statute, regulation or otherwise, and not a matter of right. In this respect Parliament has expressly given the CBSA officers legal authority to exclusively determine whether a foreign national who seeks to enter this country is admissible.

The injunction was denied.

The bigger problem here is the vaguely worded terrorism laws in Canada, which theoretically could catch not only Mr. Galloway, but the vast majority of Canadians who express some form of dissent against military action.

The fears of many civil rights activists at the time of that legislation's drafting have today been proven true, where a member of British parliament not considered a terrorist in the U.S. is under suspicion in Canada for actions that both Egypt and Israel considered legal.

If he can get caught under such provisions, anyone visiting our country can. Welcome to Canada.

Yes, a nice piece of unbiased reporting. Mr. galloway should be allowed in the country to speak and the listeners can decide for themselves if what he has to say holds merit
