Western Law has a new student paper, Amicus Curiae.
On page 7 of their second issue [1], released earlier this week, they profile some of the student bloggers in our school.
We have Legally Blogged [2], by Chris Crighton, who also maintains a site at Esse Quam Videri. [3]
There’s also Dany Horovitz’s, Business Blogged [4], of the Financial Post Executive Blog. Dany is in the 3-year joint J.D./M.B.A. program [5] with Ivey, the only one of its kind in Canada, and focuses more on business law. He also cross-posts to Law Is Cool [6].
And there’s a piece by Lawrence Gridin and yours truly, also referencing Law Is Cool [6] and of course Slaw [7]. I make a point of mentioning that the relationships I develop with the many contributors and readers here is part of my informal mentorship and education.
It’s interesting to see the lines between print and digital media blurred [8], especially since some of the Amicus Curiae staff are also opting to post their material online as well.
More importantly, we hope to foster a whole new generation of lawyers who are comfortable with new media, and hopefully infuse the legal profession with early adopters and progressive initiatives.
