Welcome James Gannon

Just drawing our readers' attention to a brand new Canadian IP law blog, Innovation and Culture.

James Gannon describes his aims as:

to update the blog daily with legal developments that have an effect on, among other things, IP, innovation and culture in Canada. While I hope to keep the focus of the blog on Canadian stories, major International stories will also be reported, especially those that may be of interest to Canadian IP scholars & laywers, authors, composers, musicians, programmers, film producers and creators of all kind.

And while we're on new blogs, a FAQ-rich blog for SMEs in England has the weird title, Law Donut. Not quite English spelling, but lots of helpful leads.

Simon Chester's involvement with legal information goes back to the Seventies when he taught legal research at Osgoode Hall and served on CLIC's board - that was the Canadian Law Information Council. He has practiced law on Bay Street for almost thirty years and speaks and writes widely on legal, technology, ethical and professional issues.

    Did they pick the name Law Donut because it kind of sticks with you after you've digested it? Well, I suppose it is no less strange a name than Slaw!
