Today, Google has added the public data from the World Bank to its searchable data. Only 17 indicators are currently available, as to which, see the above link. A suggested search: [gdp growth rate argentina].

Now it’s possible to export your documents from Google Docs, removing one anxiety about working in this cloud. You can export up to 500 MB of data in a single zip file. You can export to a variety of document types.

Google uses feeds to find new sites [9]
If by chance you have a new website that is not yet indexed by Google, be sure you have an RSS or Atom feed: Google is using these now to discover new sites and update ones it knows about. More important is their statement that they will likely use PubSubHubbub [10] soon to identify updated items, meaning new items will be indexed in near real time.

Contextual search within Wikipedia [12]
Google has built a Custom Search Wikipedia skin. If you have a Wikipedia account, log in and enable the Custom Search skin. Contextual search aims at letting you limit your search to pages that are linked from the current article.

Google Caffeine becomes new regular search engine… soon [14]
According to testers [15], Google Caffeine is faster, “more accurate,” and produces more results [ed. note: Oh goody]. The impending switchover was leaked accidentally, and so there is no information as to when the change might take place.
