About Ian Hu

Ian explores and evangelizes principles of law practice, technology, and diversity in the public interest. He is claims prevention and practicePRO counsel at LAWPRO. He has spoken at 200+ events, from keynotes to panels, for law firms, schools, societies and bar associations in North America. He advocates for diversity and inclusiveness in our social fabric, and is especially proud to have held the first racially diverse Chair of the Sole, Small Firm & General Practice Section (2017-2018) of the Ontario Bar Association, which was founded in 1896. He has served as Vice President of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. He is currently co-Chair of the ABA LP Divison's Law Practice Today Board and sits on both the ABA LP Division's Nominating Committee and the ABA TECHSHOW Board. For fun he runs the Facebook group Canadian Lawyers Personal Finance, for lawyers helping lawyers on their way to financial independence.
