About Colin Lachance

Colin is a lawyer and business advisor in legal info and legal tech matters as well as the former President and CEO of the Canadian Legal Information Institute (CanLII), a role he held from 2011 to 2015. First called to the bar in 1998 (Alberta) and then again in 2004 (Ontario), Colin has a professional background in senior legal, policy, business and government relations roles in the telecommunications industry. An average and unimpressive student in all his schooling, he added an LL.M. in 2013 to the degrees in business and law obtained in the bloom of youth.
