About Omar Ha-Redeye

Omar Ha-Redeye is a Toronto lawyer and legal academic.

He has a background in civil litigation, and operates out of Fleet Street Law, an incubator in Toronto for new and young law firms. He is a scholar-in-residence at Garfin Zeidenberg LLP, and teaches law at Ryerson University, Seneca College and Centennial College.

Omar is actively involved in the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and the Ontario Bar Association (OBA). He is the immediate past Chair of the OBA Young Lawyers Division (Central), and has sat on the OBA Board of Directors and Council.

He was named in 2011 one of the top 12 social media influencers practicing law in Canada. In 2012, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for promoting access to justice and advocacy on behalf of marginalized and discriminated populations.

Omar is currently completing his LLM in Health Law at Osgoode Hall Law School.
