I was on a call recently, and someone said ‘OK, now that we’re all in agreeance, …’ That made me wonder about the word, which I’ve seen and heard occasionally. …
Sure agreeance is a word. It is the act of agreeing. So, you could say, “we have agreeance on the agreement”…..
But, it does sound like you’re trying to puff up your language.
The full edition of the OED has an entry for “agreeance”, with the earliest usage traced back to 1525. So it’s a legit word for sure, even though it does sound puffy, lol.
It’s a perfectly cromulent word
