About John-Paul Boyd KC

John-Paul E. Boyd, KC is an accredited family law arbitrator, mediator and parenting coordinator, providing services throughout Alberta and British Columbia. He was the executive director of the Canadian Research Institute for Law and the Family at the University of Calgary between 2013 and 2018, prior to which he practiced family law in Vancouver, British Columbia for fourteen years. He is a writer, lecturer and consultant on issues relating to family law matters and access to justice. He was appointed Queen's Counsel, now King's Counsel, in 2019.
