About Michael Litchfield

Michael Litchfield is a governance advisor, lawyer and educator. He advises and trains boards and senior management on governance, risk and compliance, with particular expertise in artificial intelligence. He is the Managing Director of Litchfield Consulting and practises law through Litchfield Law Corporation.

Michael serves as a director and advisor to a range of organizations, and directs the Business Law Clinic at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law. He is the founder of the Canadian Centre for Responsible AI Governance. Michael holds a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Laws from the University of Victoria, and has been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia since 2006.
