New Canadian Law Library Bloggers

[cross posted on the VLLB]

I’m very proud to announce that two of my Vancouver colleagues have jumped on the law library blogging circuit. Similar to Anh Huynh and Kay Samuels who have been helping out on Connie Crosby’s blog, two of our more ambitious VALL members, Emma Wood & Rob Golbeck, have started their own blogs!

Check out Emma’s Ballad in Plain E and Rob’s LibTech Life. For those reading along at home, make sure you grab a copy of Emma’s feed, and Rob’s feed. Both sites will be a part of my blog roll by the end of today.

There are obviously a limited number of Library Technician blogs online (especially in the law library realm), and both of Rob & Emma should be congratulated for being among the first. Both Emma and Rob are active in various local Associations, especially LTAIG, and both are great communicators.

My one point of disclosure… Rob & I do work together. And we all know what that means… double brownie points for taking me to task whenever I put my foot in my mouth. ;-)

Nice to see more Canadian law library bloggers, and (at least for me) an expanded west coast presence. Best of luck Emma & Rob!

  1. Most cool! We definitely need library tech voices in the biblioblogosphere! Will read and promote…

Does Emma seriously have sponsorship for her blog? The bottom of the page seems to indicate she does.

  2. I’m pretty sure that’s just part of the generic design template she’s currently using.

One of her closest friends is a web developer, and I know that they’ve been working on a custom design… More to come I guess. :-)

  3. Okay. I thought that might be the case, but wishful thinking on my part! Maybe I should suggest my favourite clothing store sponsor my blog in return for promotion. What do you think?

  4. Nah, go sign up for an adsense acc’t, and use the *hordes* of money to purchase the new wardrobe.

well… ‘hordes’ may be overstating things… but new socks are nice!

  5. But Steven you already have a pair of socks and wash them every month, whether they need it or not.

  6. Two pair, Brown AND Black!
