LibWorm
LibWorm is a search engine that allows you to search the RSS feeds of over 1,000 library related blogs. It collects updates from the feeds, the contents of these feeds are then available for you to search, and your search results can themselves be output as an RSS feed that you can subscribe to either in your favorite aggregator or in LibWorm’s built-in aggregator. It also allows you to browse feeds by feed category (each feed searched by LibWorm is assigned a category) or by subject (pre-built searches for common subjects relevant to libraries). To submit your own feed to LibWorm, you have to first register for a free LibWorm account. Logging in will give you access to the “Submit a Feed” form.
This website was well done, and well thought out. The one feature I’m always on the lookout for was there – search feeds. An example … any Library blog posting with the word Canada in it will show up in this feed.
And I notice Steve was signed up with his blog before anyone else! Always on the cutting edge…
Hey Steve- glad you like it! Frankie and I are pretty pleased with how it is working, and even more pleased that people are finding it useful, though
Connie, The list of number of feeds indexed by LibWorm will be going up in the next few days, so if you know of any BiblioFeeds that you can’t find in it by this time next week, please let me know so I can get ’em in there.
Best,
