CCCT Seeks CEO

The Canadian Centre for Court Technology is looking for a new chief executive officer. Dominic Jaar — a former blogger on Slaw — who held the position of CEO for two years, has resigned to become associate partner in charge of Canadian e-discovery and information management practices at KPMG, the company that bought out Jaar’s consulting firm, Ledjit.

The CCCT position announcement, from board member Chris Walpole, is available in both HTML and PDF. The role is currently considered half-time and requires the following abilities, among others:

You must be bilingual, possess a post-secondary education, and have knowledge of the justice system including an understanding of the roles, responsibilities, views and concerns of the judiciary, the bar, and governments, and a broad knowledge, from a business (not technical perspective), of the current state of technology in the justice system and opportunities for advancing effectiveness.

Extensive leadership experience required, preferably in a diverse, complex and technology-reliant environment; experience working closely with clients, partners and stakeholders to influence collaboration. Experience in financial planning and fundraising and in leading the development and implementation of strategies to support business development are also essential. This assignment requires a motivated, committed individual who has created change, built partnerships and alliances, solved problems creatively, and engendered trust.

The full role description is available on the CCCT website.
