Courthouses
BeSpacific is featuring a U.S. site, Historic Federal Courthouses, that lets you browse through the fifty and see old photographs of American court buildings and some info about dates, architects and the like. This is a worthwhile venture, and so far as I can tell there’s nothing comparable in Canada. There should be.
I’ve come up with a Wikimedia page that has the SCC building, the building where the Louis Riel trial took place and the 1880 Montreal courthouse. I can’t figure out how to confine an image search in Google to Canadian domains, but a search for “courthouse” and “Canada” produces a goodly number of images. And Industry Canada would seem to have a number of historical photos, but, as luck would have it, the critical server is down at the moment and I can’t check properly.
I’ve not even begun to do a real search — so what am I missing? Would anyone be interested in gathering photographs and information about Canadian County courthouses?

There should be good sources for this kind of project. I know there was a history of Alberta courthouses published recently, and the notes or author should be able to provide good leads. I’d be willing to make a trip to the archives to collect a few scans, if the allow it.
