Music on Canada’s Site

If you go to the main page for the government http://canada.gc.ca/ you’ll see a short film and hear a gentle, sombre piece of music because of Remembrance Day, November 11. I don’t know how long they’ll leave it up on the splash page. I think this may be the first time that the government has streamed music, and maybe the first time there’s been a movie playing on the main page.

No credits, alas, as to the composer or the players, and none regarding the film either.

  1. There was a very sad, and at the same time uplifting, musical connection with this years’s Remembrance Day in Victoria http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2006/11/08/bc-pipes-richardson.html
