Let me introduce Yahoo’s recent $10M acquisition: MyBlogLog. I just started playing with this site the other day, and so far so good. It’s basically a community building tool, with its most notable feature being a web widget that allows for a live display the most recent visitors.

I’ve created a community for Slaw, and one for the vllb. The community widget is also installed on my blog, if you want to get a handle on how it works.

I now see that Connie has a community, and very shortly (after I invite her), she will show up as a co-author of the Slaw community. … well, you get the picture. :-)

  1. Well, my community thus far is you and Eric, the admin guy on MyBlogLog. But it’s a start. I got your invite yesterday and responded, but haven’t had a chance to play with it much. If you figure out more of what it does, let us know!

I sent a complaint that I couldn’t add myself in as an author for Slaw. I didn’t know you could invite me in. That will be good. Thanks.

  2. And any other Slawyers who want to try it out… let me know, and I’ll list everyone.

  3. I have to say, when you try to say the name of this service aloud, it is quite entertaining. They may as well have called it “Glug Glug”. 8-)
