Librarian Blogger in the NYT

A recent New York Times article focuses on how blogging can boost your career. What’s really cool about this article is that librarian Ellyssa Kroski is mentioned. The article describes how Kroski decided to start blogging about her professional interests to build connections that could lead to a job. Not only did her blog lead to a job, but she is now being invited to speak at national conferences and has even completed her first book Web 2.0 for Librarians and Information Professionals.

  1. Hello again, still got no answer. Perhaps not the right place but is the library and his services available for exchange students like me?

    Many thanks,

  2. Sonja, I’m not clear what you’re asking. Perhaps Agnese knows. What “library” and what do you mean by “his services”?

  3. Hello Simon,

I thought this blog is about US and Canadian university libraries? Well, if so I hoped somebody could help me; when I study in a university is the library then available/open for exchange students?

Otherwise, perhaps you know the address where I can ask?

  4. Hello Sonja

This is a blog about legal research and information technology. But I can tell you that if you are a registered student at a university in Canada the library is open to you.

  5. Hi Simon,

Thanks, it is so hard to do my orientation from abroad so many thanks for your info.
